Monocouche
Monocouche has a beautiful pre-coloured finish. Monocouche is a cement-based, polymer-modified self-coloured render. At its core, K-rend material incorporates silicone water repellents that grant any substrate surface (to which this material will be applied) the ability to repel water while also allowing water vapor to pass freely and exit the substrate surface from within the structure. The water repellent ability of the rendering material allows the finished surface to have a drier appearance for a prolonged period of time, which is particularly resistant to algae growth.
The main advantage is that at Lonsdale Plastering, we use pre-measured bags and apply K-rend via our machine. This eliminates the problems encountered by the more traditional method, such as differing sand and cement mixes, hollowing, shrinkage, and crazing that are liable to occur when insufficient time is allowed between the application of coats or inconsistent mixes. Coupled with the fact that the traditional method requires two coats of masonry paint to be applied every 5-7 years to maintain a high standard finish.
K-rend
K-rend can be easily pressure washed to bring it back to life as it has colored pigmentation all the way through the material.
Silicone render
Silicone render is the premium render finish. It is a highly flexible, weather-resistant product, brilliant for heavily exposed areas, while retaining excellent breathability for the wall and building.
It is highly resistant to impact damage and provides UV protection, guaranteeing a high-end lasting finish. With a Class 0 rating for surface spread of flame, it is a beautiful, durable, and safe product.
